Ben joins the FutureSense team from Health Sciences High, where he taught high school mathematics for four years. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Ben was responsible for coordinating and leading professional development between staff and administration. He also spent time as a conditioning coach for basketball, cross country, and tennis.
Ben graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a joint degree in Mathematics and Economics. While studying at UCSD, he was a student supervisor for UCSD catering and managed a private tutoring business. After graduating from UCSD, Ben obtained his Single Subject Credential in Mathematics from San Diego State University. For the next year, he taught both high school and middle school mathematics in schools with low socioeconomic student populations. During his teaching tenure, Ben received his Masters in Mathematics and Mathematics Education from SDSU.
Ben lives with his wife, Amy, and two sons, Gabriel and Samuel, in San Diego, California. During his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, camping, surfing, gardening, cycling, golfing and rock climbing. Ben is confident that his analytical background, coupled with his professional teaching experience, serves as a valuable asset for clients.
