Continually evolving from our roots...
In 1995, after many years with large consulting firms and Fortune 1000 companies, CEO and President Jim Finkelstein set out with the intention of forming a nimble and responsive consulting firm to better serve clients’ needs and create sustainable partnerships. He saw a gap in other consulting firms that silo’d their Organizational Development and Compensation practices, and sought to bridge that gap under one roof. Built on the principal that “people are our greatest resource,” FutureSense was born to help organizations maximize their human capacity.
As the company grew, an opportunity opened in 1997 to partner with Arthur Andersen. After four years however, Jim realized that operating as a separate entity fueled the FutureSense mission to do business in a way that better met client needs. Thus in 2001 FutureSense 2.0 was launched. FutureSense operated with the motto– “Speed of Thought, Speed of Action, Speed of Results.”
From there, FutureSense grew in size and scope of work - with a focus and value on client-relationships. While maintaining our relations with 20+ year clients, our reach has expanded into new sectors and industries. Our team has grown to nine employees and a principal, Margaret Walker. We continue to dive deeper into intellectual fields, research, and discussions to benefit our audience and our own knowledge; and we provide thought leadership through various media outlets (including the Huffington Post), books (Fuse), and speaking events around the country.
Our current motto – “Thoughtful, Responsive, Authentic” – exemplifies our continued commitment to building and maintaining relationships with our clients and community, and delivering results that drive innovation, optimize organizational capacity, and build relationships.
